The buzz is that Kanye West has dropped Nike for Adidas which as you know has been heating up over the past year or so.
Remember that song Twista dropped back in Feb -March ? (A.d.i.d.a.s) All Day I Dream About Sneakers. That was a pivotal moment when I turned my head side ways and said Adidas ? Really ?
Nike has always been the leader of the sneaker pack due to it’s affiliation with celebrities like, well, Michael Jordan.
Well, move over Mike, Kanye West is in town and I like how he stood up to them. I mean since Mike didn’t do it, Thank you Kanye !
Good looking out. We the people deserve to know the truth. Kanye was just not happy with the way nike was treating him. He did not agree to the outrageous prices and then he learned of some shady sneaker business to make matter worst.
So, Kanye being all Kanye and a true Chicagoian he finally said enough is enough. If you don’t like Kanye then you should reconsider because what he did was monumental for every one in the entertainment industry who’s building their name and a brand from themselves. Celebrities are nothing more than walking, talking billboards for these monopolizing companies and no body stands up to them. When Nike gives you a deal that’s shitty your just supposed to shut up, node, smile and pretend that you like it.

You don’t crap on people like Kanye West and Michael Jordan and just walk away scott free. Yes, Nike did crap on Michael Jordan because as you recall when all that scandal about the Nike sweat shops came out and the kids killing each other over shoes, Mike did nothing. Michael Jordan did not lower prices for his fans because it was out of his control, his hands were tied. All these years I wondered why. Kanye West’s situation just shed the light on the evil that is Nike.
Nike would not allow Michael Jordan to do anything and so he didn’t. By the way, that’s kinda like selling out isn’t it !!?? Yeah, I’ll let you think on that. And in case you forgot Derrick Rose is also sporting Adidas. So, it looks like Adidas just secured the entire Chicago market. Now, all they have to do is sponsor some major events and watch the cash roll in. I’m already waving good-bye to Nike.

West has allegedly inked a new deal with Nike rival Adidas. According to theNew York
Post’s Page Six, the deal was worth $10 million and West will receive royalties for each pair that sells.
Several reasons for West’s falling out with Nike have surfaced recently. For starters, his latest Nike shoe, The Air Yeezy 2 Red Octobers, were reportedly being leveraged with other Nike shoe sales. West expressed his findings from behind a Maison Martin Margiela mask during a recent Barclays Center rant on his Yeezus tour. “…I talked to my man down in Miami that runs the store and they said Nike was pressuring them saying if you want the Red Octobers you have to take all these trash-ass shoes,” West told the crowd. “Nike was pressuring them trying to leverage off some shit that I made.”
